Review of Gandhi (1982) by Lauren H — 30 Apr 2009
Now, I know I'm gonna get a lot of hell for this, but it was a tad bit annoying to see all those subservient women fawning all over my man constantly. The film was a little bit too "Hollywood" for my taste.
Still, it was admirable that Gandhi allowed India's former oppressors - the British - to leave their former colony with their dignity intact. If it had been me, I would have been very tempted to kick their butts all the way back from whence they came.
