Review of Frozen River (2008) by Christopher B — 04 Mar 2009
A superb drama with an interesting crime involved too. The performances are outstanding and the depiction of a native reservation is one of the best I've seen in film. Few folks might be disappointed by the lack of anything flashy, but I can't imagine that even the most hardened cynics won't be won over by the great characters. 2008 was definitely the year of the great performances/characters in American film.
Plus, it was great to see Michael O Keefe back in a film.
