Review of Frank (2014) by Tristin M — 29 Mar 2015
Frank shows the true price of being accepted and loved by everyone, and that natural talent isn't so natural for everyone. An excellent black comedy that was easily my favorite film of 2014, and most likely one of the strangest movies I've seen. Maggie Gyllenhaal is in her best role here, and Michael Fassbender proves his ability to be a star even without showing his face. The music is fantastic, and Frank is a must-watch.
Best Dialogue:
-Jon: That's true! But your head is still sort of intimidating.
-Frank: Well underneath I'm giving you a welcoming smile. Would it help if I said my facial expressions out loud?
-Jon: Well, maybe.
-Frank: Welcoming smile.
