Review of For All Mankind (1989) by Graham S — 31 May 2008
Although sometimes misunderstood (it presents a "montage" of a mission with footage from several different ones, but doesn't "explain" so up front) this is still perhaps the best film about the moonshots.
Part of it is the aching Eno/Eno/Lanois score, part of it an indefinable ... something. To my mind it catches the atmosphere and spirit better than any other film.
