Review of For All Mankind (1989) by Johnathon W — 22 Jul 2018
Classic documentary on the mission to the moon that works by letting the pictures do the talking. Director Al Reinert does a brillliant job using the at the time unseen footage from the early America space missions, from Gemini to Apollo, to show the wonder and beauty of outer space.
In an innovative move, doesn't do on camera interviews with those involved, from the engineers to the astronauts themselves, but keeps it strictly audio as they narrate the gorgeous footage. Just one of the finest films ever made about outer space and reminds you of the majesty of the space race.
