Review of Food, Inc. (2008) by Tamatai N — 06 Feb 2011
I'm rating this film 5 stars because I think the message is vitally important and needs to be heard by every consumer. There are reasons why I perhaps should have rated it lower, but I'll get to those soon.
Personally I thought it was an extremely well-crafted piece of documentary film-making that's as shocking and harrowing as it is enlightening and inspiring. A must-see for anyone really. But the downside is that it really does suffer from being a tad too preachy and biased and tends to force its message down the viewer's throat rather than leaving it all on the table for one to make up their own minds about it; plus I found the fact that they put corporations like Wal-Mart in a positive light to be a tad hypocritical.
In any case, thought-provoking and informative film-making.
