Review of Five Minutes of Heaven (2009) by Lee M — 30 Jan 2010
Never heard of this movie until I picked it up. Set in Northern Ireland, and as a good Ulstermen myself, I was inclined to like this movie from the get go.
It's about a guy who's about to meet his brother's killer 25 years later in the making of a TV show. It goes from there...it's a deep thriller, but some might find it slow as there's more monologue than action. But that's what makes it so good.
The ending could have been better, but otherwise Neeson and Nesbitt are fantastic. It's a quieter movie, but not slow.
Overall, I really enjoyed it...it's a great lessor known movie and you'll learn something about Northern Ireland.
