Review of Final Exam (1981) by Richard D — 23 Oct 2018
I have seen my share of dull, generic slasher films, but this takes mediocrity to a whole new level. I get that writer/director Jimmy Huston was trying to focus more on the character of the victims than was typical, but his characters are uninteresting and none of the cast can act.
So essentially you get a slasher film that spends almost no time focusing on the killer, and when the killer does appear, he's just "guy in a green jacket" who's motive is never really broached.
He's boring dude with a knife who teleports from place to place as needed to stab unpleasant non-actors. I hate this film.
