Review of Fifty Pills (2006) by Rob C — 15 Mar 2010
A film that played like Half Baked, but with ecstacy as the drug of choice. We have some light performances by the actors, with the better half of it coming from Eddie Kaye Thomas. The diversity of the different characters to whom the protoganist, Lou Taylor Pucci, sells to are a welcomed treat and add that flair of comedy to a weak script.
Michael Pena has the better dialogue when it comes to offbeat chatter while his associates are just walking in his shadow; unknown to everything around them. Fifty Pills is purely a Made-for-TV film, with nothing special going on in its corner.
