Every time I see a French film, I always think I should have grown up France or must have in a past life. I just get their movies. This movie was directed by the woman who did romance, another weird and wonderful movie. Sex as a topic is so wonderful to me...and this explores the sisters intimate relationship between 2 sisters that are very different. Itâ??s a crazy/slow movie by American standards but the acting is brilliant!
Keeping in tradition with many French films (no happy endings) this ending will hit you in the head with an axe! While a disturbing and shocking ending, it left me laughing at the plain absurdity of it all. Which is why I gave it 4 stars.
This movie is not for everyone especially if you are used to hollywoody films.
