Review of Esther (1999) by Ian D — 24 Aug 2007
This is an excellent film, probably my favourite of the series. Very faithful to the Biblical account, except for perhaps less emphasis given to Mordecai's involvement at the end. Louise Lombard, aka "Sofia" from CSI, carries the part exceedingly well - I hadn't realised she is such a good actress! It would be good to see her in more films, perhaps like this one.
(And yes, I am a CSI fan!) I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to see good, well-made, films based on the Bible. Thoroughly moving, thought-provoking and even faith-building for those who know God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
