This movie is nuts in all sorts of ways. David Lynch blends twisted dark comedy with a bleak and disturbing futuristic landscape. At times it's ridiculous images and situations are hysterical and at other times it's so bizarre that it's subject to induce cringes.
Jack Nance gives a great performance, his deadpan approach and affable reluctance to his situation make him a terrific protagonist in the midst of all the madness. If you want to see something different from other movies, this should definitely be a priority.
