Review of Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield (2007) by Mike D — 24 Nov 2007
Ed Gein - The Butcher of Plainfield was an ok movie. It was supposed to be about the famous serial killer who targeted women even going so far as to dig up graves. It was done in the style of remake as House of Wax or TCSM: The Beginning.
It was not great. They didn't stick to his life very closely. In this movie he is played by Kane Hodder, a man about twice the size of Ed in real life. Also they didn't go very deep into his psychosis. He played him kind of shallow.
If you want to see a good movie about Ed Gein rent In The Light of the Moon.
