Review of Dr. Cabbie (2014) by Go K — 20 Nov 2014
Dr. Cabbie follows Deepak Chopra, played by the infectiously likeable Vinay Virmani, as he finds his own way of rising above the bureaucracy many Torontonians have had to negotiate upon arriving from India with a dream.
A beautiful love interest and a quintessential villain help the film transcend realism and become a cultural classic that stays with you. Despite not being a fan of the romantic comedy genre, I couldn't help but have a smile on my face as I walked out.
It's exactly why we go to the movies.
