Review of Downloading Nancy (2008) by Ola K — 02 Aug 2009
I love sad movies about depressed people, with creaking music, and rainy pictures ( mr doyle's work is genious as always), I like them even if they are exaggerated (like cronenberg's "spider" or coixet's "my life without me"), but this movie has one huge fault that's excludes it from assemblage of "good movies" , its imperfections are dialogs -they are just silly ("are you here","who, where" "real you" "me " "i'm here""real you?" etc ).
Although i've honestly loved scene in boutique where jason patric and maria bello are buying dress for her ( for the night he will kill her) which made me think about "pretty women" and other romcom, and I realised that every crappy life has its fairytale moment.
ps Mario Bello is disgusting in this film which I think means she's brilliant actress.
