Review of Donnie Brasco (1997) by Steve G — 06 Apr 2009
Watched this so many times I've lost count. Classic mob film, Pacino as Lefty is in comfortable territory, he plays the role effortlessly and you really feel for him towards the end. Depp is fantastic and outshines Pacino throughout the film, just check out the japanese restaurant scene and how he changes thereafter.
Amazing supporting cast, I think this was one of the first films I saw Michael Madsen or Paul Giamatti in. Forget the predicatable ending, its how they get there than makes this great, "Fugget about it".
