Review of Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors (2015) by Ryan S — 08 Feb 2016
Cute movie, nothing over the top, nothing fantastic about it..it's just your basic faith based storytelling of the upbringing of Dolly Parton. Jennifer Nettles does a pretty good portrayal of some sort of Dolly's mom, Rick Schroder steps his game up a bit as Dolly's dad.
But the real spotlight is on the youngster herself Alyvia Alyn Lind portraying Dolly as a youth. If you're a Young & The Restless fan then you already seen her acting skills as Faith Newman. Here's a cool fact, an actual family member of the Partons is in the movie Stella Parton is her name and she plays a character named Corla Bass.
. Farrah Mackenzie plays the character of Stella Parton.. Again it's a cute movie to watch on a rainy day maybe having Dolly Parton music playing low in the background..
