Knowing this movie from a small review on G4's Attack of The Show, I would have to agree it's actually a change of pace from all the horror movies that have been coming out as of late. It doesn't take itself too seriously in terms of plot (bit of a spoiler, there is a time-traveling bear) and it's funny. I will say that the story's plot points will throw off some people as it jumps around while still staying in the central plot.
Acting is pretty good and not cheesy with writing making this movie shine. It's like a cross between Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and a horror movie.
