Review of Destination Tokyo (1943) by Sarah G — 21 Jul 2008
Essentially, for me, Cary Grant is the only reason to see this film. I'm not the war movie type. However, as a whole, the film wasn't bad. It really gave me a glimpse of what goes on 10,000 leagues under the sea;^).
I really appreciated how it also showed the constant decisions the captain [Grant] has to make. In this role, Grant was more serious than he is some of his other roles, however, he still remains to be charming and funny at times.
