I did not see the original, but if it is anything like this remake I am happy to have missed it. This movie is easily classified as low budget horror yet it lacked the gore and jump scares that make those tolerable (if not sometimes enjoyable).

It felt like it was missing something the entire time. As if it was almost a great movie. The problem is in the script and direction. It was too predictable and shot in a way that made it even more boring.

I will say that the acting by the older sister was fantastic. She was definitely a bright spot. Some of the other actors had their moments as well. If you are looking to be scared, skip this movie! If you are looking for a mystery, skip this movie too! Just skip this movie altogether.
