Review of Delgo (2008) by John B — 26 Jun 2010
Delgo asks its viewers not only to go into this flick with a suspension of disbelief but a suspension of their memories as well. Even to those of us who have permanantly ruined our short term memory with one too many Vodka Trotskies, the plot is all too familiar. That is not, of course, the ulitmate sin, just look at Avatars ratings.
The animation is too reminiscent of video game cut scenes or a Saturday morning television from the late nineties for my taste. This is not, of course, the ultimate sin either. Delgo never commits the utlimate sin, but it does commit too many little sins along the way. I'm sure Delgo was made with the best of intentions, but we all know where that leads, and somebody definetly went to hell for this one.
