Review of Death House (2018) by Kuehnau — 17 May 2019
Death House suffers from an identity crisis, it doesn't know what genre of movie it really wants to be. The story line is so stuttered and jarring that none of it makes much sense. The ending revelations of the film feel like an half-arsed attempt at wrapping the movie up.
Some of the scenes last way too long or barely bake any sort of sense in any capacity. There's multiple scenes of inmates going crazy, jumping around and screaming that adds no value to the film and outstay their welcome quickly.
Another scene shows two of the heroes sliding down a elevator cable to the bottom level of the facility, while using their other guns to shoot in all directions of the elevator shaft. It makes no sense, there's nothing to shoot.
The film reminds me a bit of the SCP Foundation, too bad the movie is so all over the place I couldn't enjoy it.
