Review of Day Night Day Night (2006) by Isaac B — 17 Apr 2008
A tour de force for most of its running time that uses silence and sounds from everyday life to their full extent. It seemed to drag a bit at the end, which was sure difficult to gauge, but overall a pretty darn interesting movie.
We are forced to think about our own stereotypes and labels we place on others while observing the last two days before the act.
This includes a great deal of possible rituals and associations we really can only guess about by those involved in the plot who lead us to even more wonderment about who these people are and what are they all about.
Very much worth watching, although I can see some being concerned about the stereotypes the film may perpetuate, which ironically the film makers appear to be intending to address.
