For all its cheesiness, this is actually a really enjoyable movie. The acting isn't great and there's no trace of future stardom in this particular performance by Anna Paquin, but the plot is fun and even despite the terrible effects and acting, I had a good time watching this movie.
You just can't expect miracles.
