Review of Creation (2009) by David C — 28 Sep 2009
This was a bit of a "I'm at the cinema what shall I see" viewing. I'm glad I decided on this. I found the movie intelligent, well acted, poignant, moving and funny in places. It was an interesting story of how a well known piece of literature was finally published.
The film concentrates on a relatively short period of time in Darwin's life as he attempts to finish his publication "The Origin of Species" but contains flashbacks that show voyages on the Beagle and life with his family, specifically his daughter Anne.
All in all an enjoyable and emotional film.
