Review of Compañeros (1970) by Stuart R — 09 Jul 2007
Spaghetti western icons Franco Nero & Tomas Milian team up in this comedy-western about a Swedish arms dealer and a Mexican radical who set out to rescue a revolutionary from north of the border. Jack Palance puts in a ludicrous performance as a pot-smoking Irish gunslinger with a wooden hand and a pet falcon.
Supremely entertaining with yet another odd but enchanting score by Ennio Morricone.
