Review of Colette (2018) by José F — 12 Dec 2018
In the hands of director Wash Westmoreland and Keira Knightley, «Colette». She is a vibrant force that goes beyond the cinematic canvas and thanks to a light touch makes Colette's story all the more appealing, welcoming, and resonant.
Knightley takes command of this story of a woman discovering the full scope of her powers and talents. Moreover, she's well-matched by an incisive script. By the time Knightley is done with Colette, you'll be empowered and fascinated.
Enhancing the fine story and acting, the locales and costumes are so beautifully framed and shot many of the scenes could stand as magnificent oil paintings. It is just a beautiful movie to watch. [4/5].
