Review of Cocoon (1995) by Alex K — 20 Sep 2007

I liked this movie a lot, because it is one of the few films I have seen that puts a good spin on eternal life. Most movies seem to indicate that living a healthy life for a long time is somehow evil, miserable, or boring.

This film doesn't do that and portrays life as a good thing, which it obviouly is. They totally ruined the sequel though, by giving it the same generic story of progress (i.e. moving towards eternal life) somehow being negative.

Therefore this movie gets 5 stars from me, and the sequel gets a big zero.
