I see about 100 movies each year and I certainly don't shy away from things that are dark or tragic. But honestly, this may be the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. I knew going into it that it dealt with some pretty harsh subject matter (the rape of Nanking) but I'm not sure I was prepared for what I saw.
This movie moved me more than anything I've seen all year.
