Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Asen B — 20 Aug 2010
Well, existentialist tragedy coupled with irrepressible love and a coming-of-age process do NOT get more alluring than this classic Mediterranean tale of greatness in the loss of innocence and the subsequent attempts at redemption.
.... Magnificent cinema that can NEVER get produced in America, and thank god that Giuseppe Tornatore saw Sicily as the right vehicle..... Amen!
