Ramin Bahrani earned my respect with this film. I watched his other film "Goodbye Solo" a year ago and liked the fact that movie stayed in my thoughts for a few days after I watched it. This film has the same effect on me too.

This film though is the better of the two. I cried at the end, very powerful stuff. Somehow in such a dark gritty story they were able to pull off a very beautifully happy ending. Alex's character and his sister both put on amazing performances.

I also loved the camera work on this film. Minimal films like these that make the most of their resources really impress me. I liked everything about the film, from the story, to editing, to characters, to lighting, to acting, directing, excellent, excellent, excellent movie.

EXCELLENT CONCEPT EXCELLENT EXECUTION!
