Review of Choke (2008) by C M — 24 Jul 2009

Wow, definitely one of my favorite movies. Dark strange and genre busting. It sort of tells a couple of strange stories at the same time while somehow managing to be cohesive. Slightly uneven at times, but characteristically brilliant acting by Sam Rockwell keeps you completely engrossed throughout. And of course anything adapted from Chuck Palahniuk's writing is going to be mesmerizing.

Of course, interesting movies like this are usually hated by the public so I'm going to have to recommend NOT seeing it. Not that I don't absolutely love it, I just understand that most people are more entertained by seeing something retarded like Scary Movie or Meet the Spartans. That's alright, just more of Choke for me to love!
