Review of Cherry Falls (2000) by Henrik S — 13 Oct 2012
One of the wittiest horror films besides those in the Scream series, Cherry Falls creatively turns the concepts of the slasher genre on their head with a healthy dose of cynicism. Its "parents' misdeeds coming back to haunt their children" plot has been done before and its high school stereotypes help firmly ground the film in its parent genre, however, but the film utilises both in unusual ways and undermines some typical expectations.
Truly, the only letdown here is the film flying under the radar of most film fans.
