Review of Charlie & Boots (2009) by Graham A — 06 Sep 2009

I watched this movie full of anticipation and ended up very disappointed. The odd good moment but generally it was like a promotional tour diary going from one scene to the next. The humour was mostly "Aussie" style cliche, which I like when real but these were overly staged and artificial. At one stage they resorted to telling jokes. The pub scene was weird because there was a live band but the music was dubbed, so imagine the lack of atmosphere.

I don't understand why I had this experience when considering the good reviews. Did I see the same movie? I found myself cringing and almost hiding from embarrassment.
