Review of Celeste & Jesse Forever (2012) by Emily H — 05 Sep 2013
L O V E this. It didn't get me straight away, but soon I was completely taken in by the story. Celeste quickly turns from someone easy to dislike, to a girl just like us (guys included). The characterization is brilliant (especially by Jones), the screenplay flows like water, and the cinematography- not that I know anything about that bar how it makes me feel- is intimate and coolly distant in just the right way.
Everything somehow comes together to make a beautifully life-like movie. I usually hate this genre (the romance genre on my netflix account is only visited by friends too cheap to get their own), but I recommend this to anyone who has loved and lost, or still loving.
