Review of Cabaret (1972) by Sophie O — 21 Feb 2008
One of the best films and musicals of all time. Classic Bob Fosse choreography and brilliant scenes of the Kit Kat Klub and Pre World War II Berlin under the Nazis. Both disturbing and fabulous at the same time.
The blind hedonism of the 1930s as it laughingly acknowledges but fails to recognise the Nazi's rising power.
