Review of Bushwick (2017) by David L — 07 Jan 2018
This movie is underrated. The storytelling tool used (sort of like Cloverfield but shot with a gimbal) where events are happening in realtime. Long continuous takes to make you feel like you're going through this event with the characters. Well staged and choreographed. The acting was great and the filmmakers clearly have a unique vision. They did not make a typical film and there are some very bold story choices. The sound is amazing! The rich sound design is what sells this movie. Two people running down the street feels like they're in a war zone.
I saw it as a What if scenario and not a political statement.
People should know this movie.
