Review of Burden of Dreams (1982) by Alex V — 06 Sep 2010
Stunning documentary that works as a perfect companion piece to Herzog's Fitzcarraldo. The style is clearly influenced by the film it is documenting, allowing Herzog to muse and reveal the depth of his frustration and purpose of vision.
The reality in this case is much nore shocking than the fiction.
