Larry Clark, the director, has received a lot of criticism for his depiction of drug- addled, pansexual youth at the crossroads of hell. Then again, no one else has captured it better since CK advertisers tapped into the dirt chic malaise of American society.

South Florida is the setting in which these youths, with clinical sociopathic detachment, plan and execute a murder on a mutual friend. The reasoning seems like a plausible remedy to an unfortunate love triangle, but soon turns absurdly horrific once they realize what they have done.

The atmosphere is claustrophobic and sexually charged and then...it all unravels. A masterpiece.
