Review of Bruiser (2000) by Joshua N — 21 Jul 2007
Largely indecipherable and hard to follow. The premise is interesting, but the film seems to lose its focus at times. Jason Flemyng (of "Lock Stock" fame) does his best to keep things interesting, but he struggles with his American accent and he wears a neutral mask through three-quarters of the movie.
Peter Stormare has always been a personal favorite of mine, but here he seems to be improvising all his lines--dangerous fodder for a coked-up German.
