Review of Broadcast News (1987) by Nat T — 22 Nov 2007
On one hand its a commentary on the start of the decine of American news broadcasting, on the other a love story about a neurotic woman caught between her best friend and a man who represents everything she's against.
The two stories shouldn't work well work but they do, thanks in no small part to the fantastic performaces of the three leads who make you agonise over each characters fate. Jack Nicholson pretty much playing Jack Nicholson is hilarious.
