Review of Boy A (2008) by Dustin G — 04 Dec 2008
This is a fantastic movie whose central theme asks, 'should someone who kills really be given a second chance at life?' Whatever your answer to that question, this movie presents it in a very enthralling, at times funny, at times heartbreaking way. The look of the film fits the subject matter. I've never been to England, but I hear this movie captures the look and feel of the grey landscape perfectly.
The performances are perfect and the actors give us people to care for and do well at realizing their well rounded personalities.
Although this movie has gotten great critical praise, you don't hear much about it in Canada. I strongly suggest that everyone tracks this little gem down.
