Review of Born to Race (2011) by Holden B — 02 May 2012
They did they could on a budget. It brings a breath of fresh air to these types of films in the form of some actual fundamental knowledge of engine theory and tuning application for once. I enjoyed the father son dynamic but the characters struggles and the antagonist all stick to the cliches of the racing genre's.
It would be nice to see a racing film written well enough to derive drama and tension from the actual struggles of self improvement with good sportsmanship in the process since thats usually how it goes down.
