Review of Bone Tomahawk (2015) by Tony S — 24 Oct 2015
This is the way movies of this ilk are supposed to be made. It's for humans that have attention spans. It sets things up so you actually care about the characters and what they are doing. It increases the tension by making you wait for it.
It's a slow, savory burn...like a good stogie. I'm sure it won't be a huge box office champion for just that reason. It doesn't have constant CGI things buzzing around, blowing stuff up, from start to finish.
It actually has a plot and characters with some substance. Very doubtful that anyone is examining every frame of its trailer to figure out as much as they can about the film before going to see it. It didn't have a talking racoon.
In other words, it was fantastic.
