Review of Bone (1972) by Ted W — 05 Mar 2014
This is a movie that could only be made between 1968 and 1973. That 5 year period saw something really change in American art and I hope we see something like that again. That being said, this is a noble experiment that fails to deliver.
When performing satire it is easy to become heavy handed and this movie has fists of lead. Very good performances as it examines the morals of consumerism and the lies we tell about our personal lives, but in the end it's a bit ponderous.
