Review of Bon Cop Bad Cop (2006) by Sarah G — 30 Mar 2008
Quite funny overall, especially for a Canadian movie. I think the directors and screenplay writers did an excellent job of representing the English vs French battle within the country without any seperatist notions.
They portrayed the two sides as being very different, which they are, but ultimately perfectly capable of cohabiting the same land. This movie was very funny and I personally enjoyed the satire presented on the nhl and Gary "Buttman".
All in all a decent flick that didn't shy away from it's Canadian roots, but at the same time, didn't overplay the Canadian sterotypes which so often make for a corny movie.
