Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Mohamed F — 13 Mar 2014
Definitely la crème de la crème of what cinema had to offer in 2013. It's one of those films where the screenplay and director work together in absolute harmony that they resonate on screen, in a very simplistic, realistic, yet extremely vibrant incarnation of emotion roller coaster, perfectly and skillfully managed by Kechiche, whose delicate sense and absolute attention to details brought out those BREATHTAKING performances by the actresses, specifically Adèle, which is gonna be the next big thing in French cinema, much like Irène jacob and Juliette Binoche.
A well deserved Palme D'or, and a very well deserved best actress prize, for an extremely delicate masterpiece, that is the epic of Adèle.
