Review of Blue Collar (1978) by Alexandre A — 31 Aug 2008
Every decade a new film is forgotten, and this one deserves a footnote in the film books. An excellent film that brings you back into the heyday of American independent cinema, with music by Jack Nitzsche, and formidable dramatic performances by Richard Pryor(!) Yaphat Kotto and Harvey Keitel.
If you like La Haine by Kassovitz, watch this as a historical precursor from the Detroit of yesteryear.
