I hadn't see this one for about 7 or 8 years. Unfortunately the film isn't as good as I remembered it. Dorff is lame as is 'Jenny from the block' Lopez. The convoluted and unbelievable stroyline has Nicholson and Caine steal a necklace from a rich couple's Miami mansion, Nicholson's wife takes off with the necklace in her luggage. The rest of the film is about getting this necklace back.

Nicholson does admirably, but his character could have done with a bit more 'Jack' to the role (Nicholson fans will understand what I mean by this). There was no passion or excitement to his role - he just seemed happy to plod along with the 'action'.

Caine adds class to the film, making Victor a much more believable three dimensional character. Caine was unlucky to not get an Oscar nod for this part.

In summing up then, its a pretty average crime film with unlikeable characters - but great actors. No more, no less.
