Review of Blade of Fury (1993) by Cody C — 13 Nov 2010
Combines some excellent and fast action choreography from the 90's with a period piece setting. The result is fantastic action, but a boring plot and too much exposition.
The final battle pits heroes and villains against one another with cool weapons in a courtyard, and it's worth a viewing for the fight scenes alone.
Sammo proves that he's not just a good comedic actor, but also adept behind the camera as well. Without his fight choreography and direction this movie would have been more a chore than it already was. Pretty funny cameo appearance as well.
